Exciting Events and Inspiring Adventures
Welcome to RAD HQ, the group behind the PEI Mussel Tear, and the Fredericton Singletrack Challenge.
After experiencing some incredible ultra bikepacking events worldwide, we wanted to bring the experience home to the Maritimes. 2025 saw us put on the inaugural PEI Mussel Tear, a 430km ultra bikepacking gravel race across Prince Edward Island. With participants coming from all 5 provinces across Eastern Canada, the event was a great success.
For 2026, we look forward to putting on another bigger and better PEI Mussel Tear, as well as a new Mountain Bike experience – the Fredericton Singletrack Challenge. Come experience all the best singletrack in New Brunswick’s capital, as well as sampling the best microbrews from 6 of its top breweries throughout the day.

About RAD HQ
Rad HQ was born out of a passion for ultra bike packing events, and the desire to bring long distance events home to Atlantic Canada.
Keenan Cook and Joey Landine both have a long personal history with bike packing and racing, having competed as a team in the 2024 Trans Balkan Race, becoming the first Canadian’s to finish the gruelling event and taking 3rd place in the team category.
After coming home, they tried to find the best routes in the Maritimes to put on events here, and Rad HQ was born. 2025 marked the first PEI Mussel Tear, and the beginning of what we hope will be a growing and competitive scene in Atlantic Canada!
